Hilot
I was trained at the Hilot Academy of Binabaylan by Apu Adman Aghama and Lakay Alsent Aghama. Hilot is a full system of traditional medicine from the islands now known as the Philippines. Some of the modalities included in this system are ancestor veneration, body work (hilot masahe, dagdagay, pagsasala), herbalism, divination (tawas, kilubansa), prayer and oration (orasyon), medicinal bathing (banyos), cupping (bentusa) and so much more. One of the most important facets for me is the deep emphasis on relational work, living harmoniously with the environment and our human and non-human neighbors.
I am absolutely thrilled to offer this ancestral medicine to my community. Learn more about hilot on the FAQs or schedule a vibe check.

Traditional Chinese medicine
I came to acupuncture in 2009 when I was dealing with extreme burnout that was affecting multiple systems of my body. This was lifechanging and eventually led to a big career shift out of nonprofit work. I wanted to share what I had experienced with other queer and trans people of the global majority.
I went back to school and earned my Masters degree in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine at Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine in 2015. The modalities I offer include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, qi gong, lifestyle medicine (yang sheng), bodywork (tuina), and cupping.
I have had the privilege of working with folks that come from a wide range of backgrounds, but I continue to center QTBPIGM in my work. Learn more about TCM on the FAQs or schedule a vibe check.

Gender affirming surgery is a sacred journey that deserves deep, personalized, and holistic care. My work is informed by my own experiences of gender affirming surgery, supporting chosen family through their surgeries (in a variety of capacities), and working directly with clients at different stages of their gender journey.
This 3-month bundle is designed to bring someone through their surgical transition with as much ease as possible. Although gender affirming care may include surgery, it is so much more than that. We must treat the whole person, not just the site of surgery.
Weekly sessions assist in preparation and recovery from surgery on a physical and nonphysical level.
Tools for organizing care and caregivers
Food medicine recommendations
Qi gong exercises for rehabilitation.
Personalized treatment plans for every client’s unique journey.
A variety of modalities to provide a tailored experience, e.g. Chinese herbs, acupuncture, bodywork, and hilot.
Offering services as a bundle means more financial accessibility like payment plans and an overall lower rate than "a la carte" services.
If you have questions and would like to learn more, I invite you to check out the Gender Affirming Surgery Brochure, schedule a 20 minute vibe check, or read the FAQ for more info. Let’s bring you closer to the care you deserve. Whether or not we end up working together, salamat for your curiosity and commitment to you.
